All ya'll saying Khan should tell Floyd to go f.uck himself are idiots. Let's examine Khan's options. He's already ducked his most lucrative option in Brook. Another option is to get his ass kicked by Shawn Porter in a half empty arena. Another option is to drain himself for a rematch against Peterson. And fight in a half empty arena for a belt nobody cares about in a fight that does nothing to enhance his welterweight credintials. Or, he can fight Broner on the biggest stage in boxing, in a fight that he'd be favored to win, and one that will likely land the fight he craves most. Seems like an easy business decision.

im not so sure he would be the favorite in the broner fight, i imagine the line would be pretty even for that one

You're right. Thurman hasn't fought a solid B-level fighter in his career yet, but a win over Porter would be all he needs to put himself in line to win the sweepstakes. Thurman definitely needs to build his resume up and by the time that happens, Floyd will be officially retires from boxing. but as usual, that won't stop those bitter fans from saying he won't fight Thurman, etc.

I think Khan would be a slight favorite. But I personally view it as a pick em fight.

Shows how little you know. He BS his way into a DLH fight when he had no place to be in the same ring with him.

Thurman-Porter seems like a natural. But I have a feeling GBP is gonna keep them away from each other for the time being. It would be risky, but I think Thurman and Lara should explore fighting each other. Neither has guys in their respective divisions lining up to fight them. And the winner 100% cements himself as Floyd's top GBP option. And from Thurman's standpoint, its a low risk fight because even if he loses, he loses no stature in the welterweight division.

Did you guys noticed that Khan didn't mentioned Thurman's name when he was asked about fighting Kell Brook? He responded with, Broner, Guerrero, Alexander, Porter as the only options. I wouldn't be surprised if he considers Paulie an option too. Khan is willing to fight Floyd, but he doesn't want to earn the fight.

on that list, the porter fight is the only fight that would legitimize khan as a top ww. thurman is actually the mando for the winner of floyd-maidana. if khan fought and beat thurman, khan would place himself nicely into a floyd fight.

If he doesn't get the Broner fight. I can imagine him extending his inactivity damn near another year. All he's thinking about is the Floyd payday. And he wants the easiest route possible to make that happen. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get the AB fight. Shaefer said last week that he wasn't gonna match them. And its really not a fight that makes sense for AB. His future is at jr welterweight. And if he has any pride, he won't allow himself to be whored out as Floyd's undercard circus attraction and gatekeeper.
