    Brotherly love or future beef?

Mayweather has officially stepped on Broner's toes by not letting him get his guaranteed rematch and now trying to pawn him off on his undercard as an Amir Khan measuring stick. We don't know the behind the scenes details and if AB got paid or if he is stepped back willingly etc so we cannot assume. However I wan't to know, who thinks this is the beginning of a Mayweather and Broner future beef?

Or maybe he's helping him by not letting him jump straight back into the same ass whopping.
Khan will probably beat him, but he won't obliterate him like Maidana did

Potentially. But I don't think Mayweather really thinks that. He knows Broner can beat Maidana [in a rematch], which I also firmly believe he can. Mayweather also knows Maidana cannot touch him so that is why he is fighting him, hot name, low risk.

For those crying "hype job" please remember this. One fight does not determine a career. There's a reason why NO experts picked Maidana to win that fight in the first place, and it wasn't Broner's hype. Broner can fight his ass off. In all fairness, how many fighters do you know can get knocked half unconscious in the 2nd round against a Knockout specialist and last till the final bell of the 12th round? Not only last, but bring the fight to the knockout artist? Win lose or draw the boy can fight and he aint done yet.

Dude had the stronger more recent performance.

Khan fought last May against Diaz and got knocked down.
Maidana fought in December, knocked down an undefeated 3 weight champion twice and won the biggest fight of his career.

Khan shouldn't have waited so long, but once he fights Adrien Berto, he'll probably get his shot

I picked yes, but really, who ****ing cares? Maidana ended any and all interest in that fight for me. Floyd would abuse Broner on his worst day.

Nothing wrong with speculating, but I think you're reaching a bit too far.

Being AB's mentor, Floyd is more likely thinking Broner needs to work on his mistakes before he steps in the ring with Maidana again. That rematch is still possible even if Maidana loses to Floyd. How he loses to Floyd will be the underlying question.

AB has to return to the drawing board to find out where he went wrong and how to approach maidana if they're meet in future. People will be speculating about AB's ability to redeem himself by beating his conqueror or if Maidana had AB's number all along.

Given the Broner-Maidana fight, everyone by now knows Floyd is several levels above AB skill-wise. A future showdown between the two wouldn't make sense. Particularly if AB decides to campaign at 140 until Floyd retires.

Is it possible the two could meet down the road and fight? Anything is possible, but I just don't see that matchup being made in the future unless AB
makes a great comeback and racks up titles at welterweight and calls out Floyd looking to prove he's the next best champion by beating the best in the game.

And yet that's still reading too much into it.

            .

I hope these two fight one day and AB knocks FMJ out.

They obviously talked about the whole thing first so I do not think this is beef

@MindBat very well said. I'm not on either side of the fence myself. Just stirring the pot and seeing what others think about a scenario that came to mind which is the possibilty of the brotherly love turning into a fued and them potentially fighting down the road. i didn't say all that but that's what was on my mind when posting. Good form my dude
