    SMW Top 5 Wins

I tried to make a list of top 5 wins for the different SMW (or around that weight class) top fighters. Which top 5 wins do you disagree with and why? Also please make your own top 5, I'm working on a videoproject and could probably use it.

    CARL FROCH'S TOP 5 WINS
OPPONENT: DATE: PLACE: W. LIMIT: RESULT:
    1 - Mikkel Kessler 2013-05-25 London, England, UK 168 lb Dec./12

    3 - Lucian Bute 2012-05-26 Nottingham, England, UK 168 lb TKO5/12
    4 - Arthur Abraham 2010-11-27 Helsinski, Finland 168 lb Dec./12
    5 - Jermain Taylor 2009-04-25 Ledyard, Connecticut, USA 168 lb TKO12/12

    ARTHUR ABRAHAM'S TOP 5 WINS

    3 - Edison Miranda 2006-09-23 Wetzlar, Hessen, Germany 160 lb Dec./12
    4 - Edison Miranda 2008-06-21 Hollywood, Florida, USA 166 lb TKO4/12
    5 - Jermain Taylor 2009-10-17 Kreuzberg, Berlin, Germany 168 lb KO12/12

    JEAN PASCAL'S TOP 5 WINS
OPPONENT: DATE: PLACE: W. LIMIT: RESULT:
    1 - Chad Dawson 175 lb T. Dec.11/12
    2 - Adrian Diaconu 175 lb Dec./12
    3 - Adrian Diaconu 175 lb Dec./12
    4 - Lucian Bute 175 lb Dec./12
    5 - Kingsley Ikeke 168 lb Dec./12

    ANDRE WARD'S TOP 5 WINS
OPPONENT: DATE: PLACE: WEIGHT LIMIT: RESULT:
1 - Carl Froch 2011-12-17 Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA 168 lb Dec./12
    2 - Mikkel Kessler 2009-11-21 Oakland, California, USA 168 lb T. Dec.11/12
    3 - Chad Dawson 2012-09-08 Oakland, California, USA 168 lb TKO10/12

    5 - Sakio Bika 2010-11-27 Oakland, California, USA 168 lb Dec./12

Also, which 5 wins would you define as best for Kessler? Librado, Froch and Sartison are certainly on that list.

    Kessler's is probably:

    Froch
    Beyer
    Mundine
    Andrade
    Siaca

    As for the OP:

AA: I'd have Taylor as no. 2 for AA and switch the Miranda wins.

    Pascal is not SMW.

    Ward:
Dawson is too high. He is probably 4 or 5.

      Froch.
      Andrade.
      Sartison.
The question is, who would 4 and 5 be? Do Mundine rank higher than Beyer or do Beyer rank higher than Mundine? Where to place Siacca?

Taylor had lost quite a lot recently when he lost to Abraham, which is why I placed the undefeated KO machine Miranda higher on the list.

You really think Arthur and Bika are better wins than even a weightdrained Chad Dawson?

As for Pascal, I wrote in the OP: "top 5 wins for the different SMW (or around that weight class)"

I think Ward's win over Kessler is better than his win over Froch.

        On paper at least.

Beyer was actually a three time world champion, and it was a unification fight. Beyer was a good win at the time. As was Mundine. Mundine, at the time Kessler beat him, was definitely a better win than Andrade and Sartison. He was a former world champion having lost a SD to Siaca, and wouldn't lose again after Kessler for 5 years and 20 fights, which included a championship run and wins over champions and top contenders like Daniel Geale, Danny Green, Sam Solimon etc. Not amazing, but a good run nonetheless.

I think Froch, Beyer, and Mundine are his best, and quite good wins timing considered, then he has a bunch of guys who were world champions and you could say any of them.

Eric Lucas was a champion and a good win, Sartison became champion just after Kessler beat him, Julio Cesar Green was a two time world champion from memory, Dingaan Thobela was a two division, three time world champion and Siaca was also a champion but I don't think quite as good as the others listed.

Andrade was certainly not any better than most of these guys, though he was an undefeated top contender and did go on to have some good wins directly after, such as stopping Stieglitz, yes the same guy who stopped AA and just lost a SD to him, Yusaf Mack, a past it Eric Lucas and Vitaliy Tsypko.

Anyway, Ward has the best wins. Top heavy though, as that's really it. Everything else is literal trash.

Kessler, Froch, AA, Bika, Dawson, Miranda.

Froch and Kessler are probably equal 2nd for me.

Froch has Kessler, certainly his best win, Bute, then maybe Pascal (though you could argue he wasn't what he became at LHW...which still wasn't much but it was a good win IMO), Abraham, Taylor and Dirrell. Dirrell's a hard one to categorise though. He was never a champion, and kind of ended up being very overrated doing very little. Apart from a DQ win over AA, I don't think he did anything.

            So I guess it'd be:
            Kessler
            Bute
            Pascal
            Abraham
            Taylor

              Pascal
              Abraham
              Taylor
I rank the Pascal win higher than the Bute win. Pascal just all around seems better to me. Pascal gave Froch a hard match, Bute got stopped in 5 rounds. Pascal has already beat Bute, a much past-it-and-never-been-the-same-since-Froch Bute, and I think the same would have happened in a prime fight between the two. Bute got some good wins, including against Andrade, but Pascal got the better wins in Diaconu, Dawson and Bute himself.

So, for me, Froch's top 5 is:
1 - Kessler (this one is obvious, an elite win)
              2 - Pascal
              3 - Bute
4 - Abraham (I think it's hard to choose between Bute and Abraham, but considering how much of an underdog Froch was vs. Bute, the fact that Bute at the time was undefeated and that I think Bute would bring home a decision win against Abraham, unless getting caught).
5 - Taylor (just below Abraham, who KO'ed him, but definetely above the rest on his resume, a respectable win who was a nightmare for Froch).
