I respect you as a poster. Green k for thinking critically and not giving in to the herd mentality around here. Many, many insiders are predicting a tough night for Mayweather, including the Showtime Sports exec Stephen Espinoza.

Maidana is a real fighter. He's not Canelo. He's not a feather-fisted lightweight in disguise either.

Maidana has proven himself the best way you can in boxing -- fight and beat top fighters as the underdog. Fights where Maidana was set up to lose.

People actually believe Floyd is gonna stop Maidana? Laughable.

        floyd was backing him.
What has Canelo Alvarez done in the ring to make it impressive that he was backed up by the p4p no. 1 guy?

Maidana, on the other hand, has done many things IN THE RING, unlike Alvarez.

Alvarez is a built up fighter. Mayweather even said it himself during the press conferences before the fight. I never picked Canelo to beat Mayweather. Chino is a different story... A completely different animal.

            I respectfully disagree.

If Miguel Cotto's bloated brother can wobble Alvarez with a right hand, Maidana could knock him out stiff.

Also, the transitive property does not apply in boxing. Same with triangle theories.

You can't use mathematical logic in the sport we love. Boxing is very counter-intuitive.

Where in any of my posts did i say anything about what floyd said?.

                    Deflecting the argument= admitting defeat
Well, you're implying that Canelo was okay at 152. So why isn't he fighting his next fight at 152?

Mayweather barely walked down a zombie. Big deal.

You're overrating his sparring match. He slapped around a 23-year-old for 12 rounds.

Canelo couldn't pressure Floyd because applying pressure takes conditioning. The catchweight changed Alvarez' gameplan. Floyd and his team knew this. That's precisely why they did that.

At 152 Canelo can only box. He can't apply pressure at that weight.

                    Same with Cotto.

Cotto could only box at 145. He didn't have the conditioning.

At 154 you saw the pressure that Cotto is capable of. Look at how he pressured Jail Weather Jr. Just think critically. That's all it takes.

                      They're in different weight classes.

Maidana has defense. I don't see Canelo teeing off on him like he did against Josesito "punching bag" Lopez.

My source: round four of Maidana-Soto Karass. Maidana has some James Toney in him.
