Mares is a far better win than Juanma, Mares is a much better than he ever was.
Gonzalez also has Hasegawa and Rojas.
Who is Juarez? Rocky Juarez?
I really don't see how Ghost is a better win than Montiel.
juanma was on a terror,, he destroyed top guys like ponce in very short order,, now salido basically ruined him in those 2 brutal fights, but at the time juanma was a star and much more dominant than mares ever was...
Hasegawa, montiel and rojas are decent wins just as juarez who was undefeated at the time, ghost who was undefeated, lomo was undefeated LOL
I think their resumes are almost to close to call,,, both have been around the block and both have had their ups and downs,,
I really dont have an issue if someone thinks jhonny has a better resume, i prefer salido, who has multiple title reigns, and jhonny i believe only has the 1 IIRC

Who were the other top guys? Please list them....he also got dropped and hurt by journeyman as well as getting a gift against one of them, but thats apparantly better than getting going undefeated against a bunch of top guys in one of the most stacked periods at bantamweight. Juanma has no wins nearly as good as Agbeko and Moreno, he beat Ponce as well. Mares ****s all over Juanma in resume and ability.

Who is Juarez? the fact you even list Lomo as a top win is laughable.

This isnt a mares-juanma debate,,, i agree with what your saying, all im saying is that the wins are both very top level, plus salido has done it twice vs a legit feather, and jhonny beat an undersized guy that really has no business at feather,, mares at feather is like oscar at 160

Rocky juarez, who now is a journeymen, but at the time was an undefeated olympian/amateur standout, and salido beat him up in his prime,,
Yes i know listing lomo is a laughable, hence why i put LOL after his name,, i realize that
While Salido won last night, he didn't look super impressive in doing so. Loma could have won had he not been at a huge weight disadvantage, and had he fought the first half of the fight with the urgency he fought the second. Seems like Salido slowed down. Lots of sloppy punches, just threw a lot of em and Loma had no answer for the man pressure.
Johnny I would still like to see how he does against Mares minus the one punch KO. How does he handle Mares pressure style? How well does he take shots at this stage in his career? I think i'd have to lean towards Johnny but not confidently. Would have to analize it a bit more with a free mind (currently working on printing shirts)

In all fairness, if Salido didn't do it, someone else would have cracked that egg open. Juanma's offence was so good we didn't know his chin was so doo-doo. Kinda like Roy Jones but not to that degree, Jones was miles more gifted offensively. You get my drift though.
