Comments Thread For: Demetrius Andrade-Brian Rose Likely Landing on June 14

A fight between junior middleweight titleholder Demetrius Andrade and mandatory challenger Brian Rose — a bout for which negotiations began in November — will probably end up on the June 14 card featuring junior welterweight titleholder Ruslan Provodnikov against. an opponent still to be named.

I think Andrade is underrated and will have his best fights at 160. He was the most impressive in Chicago in '07, Lomachenko included.

I watched Lomachenko lose in Chicago in 2007

      And Andrade win.

      I like this fight.

Rose is game but Boo-Boo brings too much to the table for him to deal with.

      Andrade tko 11

That's a long ass layoff. Fighters are so inactive nowadays. Andrade is too young to be fighting 1-2X per year.

I don't think Rose has the fire power to really test Andrade

                Exactly...

Anyway, Andrade's gonna win this one with ease. Either a wide UD or a late stoppage.

They had their purse bid for January and then they had negotiations for a while to try and bring it to England.... then in the end, Banner was able to get them both back on HBO

That is the way the cookie crumbles when you are a champion in boxing, it is part of the reason it is ****** to chase belts before your time because if you want to hold it you have to dance their tune which can stunt development.

Plus if a guy wants to make money they want to be on certain networks, and you have to go to the date they want, especially a guy like Andrade who is not known or popular fighting against a mandatory opponent the network doesn't really want.
