    Historically which fight in perspective...

will be remembered as the biggest waste of time:

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr VS Bryan Vera

    or

    Saul Alvarez VS Alfredo Angulo

Please explain the difference in time wasted and why you might feel them worthy of remembrance.

When a really fun fight, like Canelo/Angulo, gets made I don't give two ****s about history or anything else.

Sometimes a fight is just worth it because it'll be great fun and have lots of excitement. That's plenty enough for me.

Nonetheless, Angulo is better than Vera and Canelo is better than Chavez, so it's a good fight for the 154 division in general, particularly as both are top guys in the division, and both are willing to fight each other after each coming off a loss.

Canelo-Angulo is a fight between two good 154 pounders that come to fight. It should be a good fight. If you like good fights between good fighters then I don't think this fight will waste anybody's time.I enjoyed the Chavez-Vera fight and did not consider watching it a waste of my time. The Salido fight might qualify as a time waster.

Exactly what's wrong with Canelo-Angulo? They're both good fighters at 154 who both lost their last fights.

Chavez Vera was supposed to be an easy comeback fight for Chavez which turned out not to work the way it was supposed to first time around. The rematch was because of the questionable judging.

I'm not sure why either of those fights were/are a waste of time. Perhaps the thread starter would care to explain this to us.
