Crowne Plaza Hotel, San Diego, California - In the main event, an unexpected upset as junior welterweight Emmanuel “Renegade” Robles (10-0-1, 3KOs) remained undefeated with a ten round split decision win over 2008 Olympic bronze medalist Yordenis Ugas (15-2, 7KOs) to capture the interim WBC Latino title. Ugas was dropped in the sixth from a series of punches. The scores were 96-93 for Ugas, and 95-94 and 97-92 for Robles.

Also on the card, the WBC Latino and the WBA Fedelatin cruiserweight were earned by “Dr.KO” Yunier Dorticos (16-0, 16KOs), who dropped Hamilton Ventura (13-1-1, 11KOs) in the first round to continue his streak of knockouts.

man ugas is such a nice guy, but his pro career has been a disappointment to say the least. i wonder what happened to his brother. They both peaked in the amateur system at a very young age
