For those who complain about overpriced PPV's...

I've never understood why boxing fans who are mildly curious about a fight, but don't believe that it's worth a $70 PPV, don't just go to a local strip club and watch it for a $5 entrance fee. Even those who don't like strip clubs can go about 30 minutes before fight time, have a few beers, and leave when it's over.
I guess I don't understand the false choice often presented here of: 'I'm not buying this garbage' or 'Hell yeah, I'm throwing a fight party'--seems like there's room for compromise.
P.S. Maybe it's just where I live here in Dallas, but there are always at least 10 strip clubs showing the fight for a nominal ($3-$5) admission fee

Nowhere is it $5 where I live.

More like $20. Then being at a bar or strip club, you buy drinks you end up spending $70 anyways especially at a strip club.

Would I go to one and not want some teats and azz in my face, I think not.
    I'd end up spending $200.

I feel for ya, man. All of the legit strip clubs here in Dallas (the ones w dancers flown in on the weekends for high rollers, not the ones with lactating geriatrics w c section scars) have an entrance fee of $3. Every once in a while it's $5. The only $20 clubs are all nudes, but I digress...
I guess the price point for mammaries is just different here in Texas.

I've watched the latest May & Pac massacres for a total of $6 on a swivel chair on 30 massive screens

Sucks spending that much when the undercard AND the main event are duds.

After spending $60 bucks on crappy PPV's, I've been tempted to call the cable company and tell them my box blew up and was on fire during the first half of the event, so I couldn't watch it all.

It's usually best to watch them in a group where everyone shares the burden if need be.

Or like you said, watch them at a titty bar.

Strip club sounds like an odd place to watch a fight...

Not as odd as you'd think. There's usually a few areas where people who came to watch the fight can sit without really being bothered. The strippers will figure out who's who pretty quick

I don't want PPVs. I want frequent regular fights by subscription.
PPVs will destroy boxing. Fans should discourage PPVs,

Commercial sponsorship seems to be there but not enough to pay for everything.
If they could figure that out, we wouldn't need PPVs.

They seem like relics from a past era.
