I love this attitude, too. Why beg this jerk for a fight? **** him, if he wants to fight Garcia he can, why focus your every move on trying to get a Mayweather fight?
His father Angel Garcia said he didn't want the Floyd fight yet. He said he didn't want to jump to 147 and fight such a big fight right off the bat. He wanted to settle into 147 then fight Floyd. That came right out of Angel's mouth. Didn't sound to me like Angel wanted the fight but that they were told they weren't getting it. Angel simply said, he doesn't want his son fighting Floyd at 147 yet.

Danny never said that so stop putting words in his mouth.

Now I do think that Matthysse was the intended mark. But I'm sure Floyd probably wanted Garcia more than Khan or Maidana.
You're probably right about Mayweather, but at the end of the day the road goes through Golden Boy, who were very quick to commit a lot of fighters elsewhere these past few months. I think they were trying to force the Khan fight, and Maidana's resistance to the Broner rematch opened a door that Mayweather was quick to step through.

I'm very certain Garcia wouldn't turn the fight down if Golden Boy came to win and said Mayweather offered it.

Your right Kev, I heard Angel and Danny say they weren't interested in a Mayweather fight. Danny went on to say he's not even moving up right now.

Fighters who beg are ones who truely know they are on the downside of there career and need all the big paydays they can get like khan....or guys who have something to proove to themselves and there fans like pac.....danny on the other hand isnt ****** he dont need to beg for nothin as of right now in his career but lets be real danny, angel, and golden boy aint tryna take that L as of right now period classic canelo situation.

Danny is one of the few fighters that I actually believe a lotta the **** he says publically. And even though I've been very critical of some the moves Angel has made in Danny's career. I'm past the point of questioning him because he's been brillient. And judging by everything they've said and done publically, I don't think they wanna fool with Floyd right now. Angel sees the big picture moreso than most boxing people. And I think Angel wants to maximize Danny's chances of winning a Floyd fight and isn't just satisfied with the payday. So I think they'll wait at least until next year before making the push. He'll do the Herrera fight. And if someone emerges at 40 that generates buzz, he'll do that. If not, he'll likely make his 47 debut later this year. Malignaggi would be a big event. So I think that's the road he'll likely go down.
