Is Virgil Hunter the only trainer who can teach both Offense/Defense styles?

    I know every train teaches the basics of defense, and offense but some of them will favor one over the other.

    Roger Mayweather offensive minded, Floyd sr. defensive minded, Roach offensive minded, Goosen offensive minded, and so on and so forth.

    Virgil pretty much is the only trainer I know who can train either style.
    Let me ask you this, removing Andre Ward from the equation, name a fighter that Hunter has improved?

    I'm not trying to say that he's not a good trainer, he did do a tremendous job nurturing Ward but andre is very cerebral with natural gifts... But in my opinion I've just not seen any noticeable improvement in any of the fighters that joined him

      Besides Ward name another good fighter Hunter has trained.

          no garcia does it as well with mikey i think all trainers can to a certain degree but his stable is impressive in terms of variety.

              Berto, Khan and Angulo have some of the worst defense in all of boxing

              And Ward clinches anytime someone gets close to him, thats not high level defense

                He didn't train none of those 3 guys from the ground up or mid way thru their careers. So that's not a fair thing to say.

                  I hope you are not talking about Robert Garcia, because he doesn't train Mikey he just works the corner, you might be referring to the Big G, his father Eduardo, who is known for being a technical trainer the one Freddie Roach said is the only Garcia he fears.
