Comments Thread For: DeGale Battered Sparring Partners, Eyes World Title

James DEGALE is convinced he is ready for a world title shot as even his sparring partners are running scared.

DeGale defends his WBC silver super-middleweight belt against Gevorg Khatchikian in Bristol tomorrow night.

And he believes the fact that a string of fighters have pulled out of his gym sessions proves he is in peak condition.

He needs to steep up. He's been fighting nobodies for far too long.

DeGale is a massive talent, i rate him higher than Groves.

In DeGale's defense, he keeps asking to be stepped up. He fights on Channel 5 who aren't the best, although potentially give most exposure being terrestrial. /the only worry i have is because he has had it so easy recently, will he struggle when faced with quality opposition? Time will tell. Lots of potential though.

DeGale isn't smart enough to talk himself into a world title fight; he will need to earn it in the ring.

It doesn't help that he's promoted by Mick...

Great. All that's left is to batter a contender, and you can demand a title shot.

As do I. People talk about his opposition but it's been better than Groves' bar the Froch fight which was handed to Groves because he signed with Hearn

His trainer, Jim McDonnell, is an absolute bellend.
