Comments Thread For: Kell Brook: I Know For a Fact I'd Knock Amir Khan Out!

Undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook (31-0, 21KOs) is still in hot pursuit of a big money fight with domestic rival Amir Khan (28-3, 19KOs). Now that Khan has been passed up for a potential May fight with Floyd Mayweather, Brook's promoter offered a multi-million dollar purse to Khan. A day later, Khan said he wasn't interested in a Brook encounter, until Brook proved himself against better opposition.

ofcourse now its "khan ducking brook"

Brook has never even been in a world title fight let alone hold one. Wonder why? How come he doesnt enforce his mandatory shots?

Khan is looking for a win to solidify Floyd contention and Brook isnt that.

Given he has no olympic pedigree he doesnt even chase the European (EBU) title because the fellow that holds it will smash Brook. When Khan beats Brook its no better than mccloskey win but atleast with Mccloskey it had the home coming title defense element.

Brook fight should happen but in a title showdown so when Khan wins it looks like he beat a solid contender as thats all he is.

Where does a win against Brook at this point put Khan in regards to Floyd?

No where but in a much better place than he is now considering he hasn't fought at '47 and he looked horrible in his last two outings, barely getting past Julio Diaz. Both of them have a lot to prove so it makes for the perfect fight.

I do agree he needs exp at WW, but a U.S based name for lesser money means more than big payday vs Brook.

He should get it on with A.B, Porter or even Guerrero sounds decent.

Throw Collazo to the mix even that'll sell out in Barclays. I know with Malignaggi it was U.S debut so they experimented with a rather small location.

So, is Khan going to fight twice this year? If Brook is no danger, why not take the fight and seize the mandatory shot? That way, he could have a title by the end of the year - more bargaining power for next May.

Khan seems scared to death to go through another Julio Diaz moment, but this time he stays down, or fights a younger, bigger and better finisher than Diaz who will follow up on a KD. He skipped Alexander and now Brook. The "He's a nobody" excuse gets old fast when you start rejecting pretty much every credible opponent in favor of journeymen and unknown fighters.
