    So?

So? That doesn't mean anything. Holyfield had one of the best chin's in history. You can't say that Hagler's chin was better. Based on what? Cooper could crack. Bowe could crack also and was much bigger than Evander. Doesn't that matter? I could say that because Holy had the better resume, he was in more danger than Hagler. Does that sound fair or right? IDK.

He is really one of the most ferocious fighters of all time, but his chin is made in china.

He has a ceramic jaw, he has Tommy Hearns intangibles both are very offensive and exciting with no quit in them, but they don't have solid chins, only difference is hearns chin is iron compared to pacmans.
      Say what?

Pacquiao has a great chin. It is a solid 8+ solid.

Hagler fought his fair share of big punchers, and I have never seen the guy hurt or dropped and he had over 60 fights vs a lot of top guys..

Yes I guess Holyfield was fighting bigger guys, at cruiser he was never really in trouble

I just prefer hagler because he walked thru tommy hearns biggest shots
          Both have great chins

granite chin before jmm ko-ed him.
granite chin after jmm ko-ed him.

u dont suddenly lose ur chin coz u got ko-ed.

sure jmm ko-ed him. but who wouldnt get knocked out from a punch like that (as in one he doesnt see coming)
im sure hagler/ali wudve gone down to shots like that as well. (if scaled to weight)

                Understandable.

That's understandable. The Hearns fight was impressive. Hagler was as tough a fighter as I've ever seen. I say the same about Holy. His recuperative powers were the best I've ever seen. That's why I say, how can we disrespect either fighter by comparing chins. Both guys chin were made of granite. It doesn't mean anything when you say that because Holyfield was rocked by Bowe, Cooper, etc. that Hagler's chin was better. Based on what? The Hearns fight? The Mugabi fight? Holyfield took punches from the biggest heavyweight puncher, ever in George Foreman. Was Hearns stronger than Foreman? Nope. Even though they were in different weight classes, it's proven by KO percentage that Foreman punched harder. How about the shots he took from Tyson and didn't even budge? Tyson is one of the biggest punchers in history as well. Get my point? Holyfield was fighting at home against Cooper, too. It made him even more confident. What did he do to Cooper when he came off the canvas for the first time? My point exactly. Their chins were equally great man.

                  JMM 4's punch doesn't count

That was infused with steroids and anyone would get KO'ed falling towards that punch on the chin

Steroids or not, if Pacman had a granite chin he would have never been put to sleep. I agree its obvious JMM juiced, but if Pac's chin was solid why did he get hurt bad? its because a real welterweight has never hit him flush with a crisp full blast whipping punch on the chin. Cotto, Margarita, Clottey all hit Pacman with slow punches that he could see coming and brace for, and most of them were arm shots and grazing no speed or ferocity on them.

Pacman chin was solid at 126 but at 147 his chin was exposed by Marquez
