The much-discussed all-Puerto Rico confrontation between former world champions Juan Manuel "Juanma" Lopez and Wilfredo 'Papito' Vazquez Jr. (23-3-1, 19KOs) is still alive and could be held on August 25, according to promoter Peter Rivera, vice president of PR Best Boxing Promotions.

The two boxers have traded words several times over the years. First, two-division world champion Juanma (33-3 30 KO's) will Daniel Ponce de Leon (45-5, 35 KO's) in a rematch on March 15th in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

This is mind blowing.remember how fn shot Juanma looked last year. His career is over. Top rank was even quoted saying they released him cause they didn't want blood on there hands. These promoters are so desperate to put a "name" on there card,they could give a s!!! About there health.

These guys can't fight on a world level, but they can make for a good grudge match. The fight would sell well in P.R., since everyone knows JuanMa and Wilfredo can't stand each other. It's kind of sad, though, that this is what their careers have been reduced to.
