1) After watching Castillo fight Joel Casamayor there was little doubt in my mind that he would get KO'ed if he ever actually fought Corrales. And now that they are squaring off on March 5'th there is little doubt in my mind that is exactly what is going to happen. Castillo at no time seemed really able to clearly outbox Casamayor-- which is not all that suprising since Casamayor is a very savvy boxer-- but more importantly, he never really looked like he was going to KO Casamayor either. This is problematic for Castillo since this is what he is supposed to do best and against Chico he better be planning on hitting harder... The only problem is that I think he can't. So in a match where all else seems even, you have got to go with the bigger puncher; and that is Corrales.
2) Why do people not seem to like Paul 'The Punisher' Williams? The guy is a very tall, pretty quick, and very entertaining, slugger! Yet you never hear a word about him as a prospect! Granted, his opposition has hardly been staggering, but in this day and age you rarely see an up and comer who is taking on really tough fighters.
3) Kermit Cintron seems to me like he is going to have a career that is riddled with injury problems. He just seems to have a knack for putting himself on the sideline even when other fighters can't. I hope I am wrong about this, because he is very fun to watch-- but the past has not been to promising.
4) I really hope that Floyd Mayweather stops ****ing around and fights somebody decent, or just gets KO'ed by one of these mediocre opponents! It is very sad when the bright spot on the horizon is the entertaining, but under-skilled, Arturo Gatti, against whome Mayweather would be a huge favorite! Unless your last name is Cotto or Tszyu I don't want to see you in the ring with Floyd Mayweather in the next year!
