SAN DIEGO - - Several dozen television camera crews, newspapers and web reporters, photographers, (video) bloggers and fans were on hand to watch popular former WBC, WBA and Ring Magazine Super Welterweight World Champion Canelo Alvarez during his media workout at House of Boxing on Tuesday in San Diego.

With Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya looking on, Canelo worked out for a little over an hour. He shadow-boxed, hit the mitts, did calisthenics, worked the speed bag, smacked the heavy bag, did stretching exercises, posed for photos, signed autographs and conducted copious amounts of interviews, some in groups and others one-on-one, as traditional Mexican music blared in the background.

Lol, no one gives a **** because this is on PPV.

I wonder how long until they put him back on regular Showtime when the PPV flops.

This PPV star **** is getting annoying. It needs to end with Mayweather.

I had no idea this was a ppv event.....why??? People here actually gonna buy this, especially after his pathetic performance against Floyd?? I really thought this was a regular showtime event this whole time.

Hell yeah! Future is still a huge draw! Angulo is tough but Canelo will show his worth.

I hope no one buys it. I like Canelo, but if you want to make him a star, put him on CBS. Let more people know who he is. Let the sponsors fight for him. It's good for fighters, it's good for boxing, however it's not the best fr promoters, so it will never happen.

Look at him go! With his mastery he might just do enough to pull off the UD vs Angulo! What a beast this Canelo is! But more so his very formidable opponent Angulo.

The best of the best fighting each other here fellows!!

                  That's what boxing is about.
