Ain't no money in this division, and are GGG's handlers that ****** to make him fight these bums, then move him up to a completely new style and animal in Andre Ward? They are gonna hurt him more than help him, GGG is 33 years old, he is not gonna learn anything new with Abel in training, he needs to fight better / different opposition! All of you GGG fan's on here better get what i'm saying, i'm not hating, I am speaking the truth ! This is a dead division ! the $ is leaving the building - GGG will brutally KO Quillen, after him I really do not see anything in the division - gotta see how Martinez looks in the cotto fight before I even bring his name up..
I hear this kinda thing a lot, like MW is qualitatively just a rubbish division - yet don't actually see any evidence to back it up - sure there's a dearth of US fighters and a multitude of smaller promoters so the guys generally don't get the same exposure and are not seen as such big names. JMW is blessed with having the FMJ brand and the GBP stable, and SMW has Froch, Ward and had the super 6 to make it a prestige division. I don't understand why MW has come - relatively recently AFAIK - to be seen as a weak division however. Have any challengers come up from 154 and torn through the ranks (since Maravilla)? Has any top MW in the last coupla years moved up to 168 only to fall epicly short against a fringe contender (except arguably fat toking waster JCC Jr)?

Regardless, even if one were to agree that the division is notably weaker than those around it GGG puts himself in the best position to further his career by being firmly established as the king of the hill at 160, which means fighting at least Sergio, and ideally one of the current or ex-champs - (basically Geale, Sturm or Quillin) of which only Geale looks likely.
