If you were Maidanas head coach, what would your gameplan be to beat floyd?

the problem is that floyd's handspeed is unreal and once he's thrown his shots, his hands are so quickly back into a defensive posture or he's moved his body out of the way of your punches that you'd need to have insane handspeed yourself to catch him while he's still open
maidana's only shot is if Floyd gets old overnight and his handspeed isn't what it was vs Canelo, and he's able to punch with floyd and land something in an exchange
maidana's handspeed is non-existant and his footwork is terrible so those early 14:1 underdog vegas lines are pretty accurate
Fighters don't get old overnight. They get old in training camp in the gym.

I would have Maidana in the best shape possible and would not let Maidana follow Mayweather to the ropes. Make Mayweather use his old legs for the whole fight. I would train Maidana to star slow and increasingly work the body. Forget the head til the last two rounds.

Most the technical advice I would think of isn't going to work because Maidana's just too slow for Floyd.
Maidana's best chance obviously is landing a hurting punch, and his best chance to land a hurting punch is by muscling Mayweather to the ropes. He's going to have to throw hard and often. He should make sure to wing those hard shots to the body when Mayweather is on the ropes. Hit whatever he can and make them hurt.

The jab, swarm him with elusive aggression with head movement. Every punch you slip throw 4 and 5 punches after. Feints and aim mostly at the body, fight dirty in the clinches, cut the ringoff an use head control to hammer away at the lower part of the body. (Never at the shoulder or head)
