Maidana earned the shot. His wins over JSK, Josesito and Broner were far more impressive than Khan's at WW. I'm not eager about either matchup but Maidana does have a "puncher's chance" so it is what it is.

It's just sad that a fighter like Maidana doesn't get you excited when you talk about him fighting Mayweather.. Even when Floyd's at what, 37 years of age now? Crazy how strong the guy's still going at this stage in his career.

Good pick! Maidana earned this fight with his incredible performance over AB . You never know what can happen inside the ring and Marcos hits from weird angles , El Chino is well on his prime right now , Floyd turned 37 today , we'll see how he fares against a young champion on his prime!

I enjoy watching Floyd fight but this is ridiculous. Tell me he is the most lucrative fight out there, Tell me you feel he earned it, but do NOT insult my intelligence by telling me he is dangerous for floyd. We watched Alexander who goes brain dead halfway through a fight outbox him soundly. I know people say Triangle theories don't work but in this case lets be real.
