It's not that he's not serious - but he was outboxed for 10 rounds vs Alexander. I mean, yes he's beaten Soto karass and Broner - but in retrospect is that making you an elite WW ahead guys like Bradley, Pacquiao, Marquez, Alexander, Porter et al who has better wins than Maidana? No.

Simultaneously, he's a style that's tailormade for Mayweather, which is why a lot of people don't want to see it. Also, because they feel they've seen the same movie before.
