Hard to come to any conclusions. This could be at the end of his workout. He looks strong and those gloves are big.

Martinez should win if he's not shot. Cotto's small for the weight class and Martinez likes an aggressive opponent, gives him something to work with.

Lacking stamina (obviously). And I don't think that knee will ever fully recover.

Martinez's stamina has probably taken a severe hit. Might be why he's working so hard on the bag, to build it back up. Luckily for Martinez, he's fighting a fighter who himself has a stamina problem.

Martinez doesn't have the legs either, from what I see. Sergio would be a brave man to take a Gennady fight, because I'd predict a Golovkin victory by stoppage.

To bad the punching bag doesn't punch back and is it me or in video # 1
that left knee looks very tender and when you have pit bull rushing at you
full speed where are you going to go? That health of that knee is key to this fight and I think he's rushing himself back a little to soon. Cotto & Company will exploit that.

Too soon? It's been ten months. If he's not ready to train by now, he might not ever be. Martinez's left knee is, to my knowledge, fine. It's his right knee that has all the problems.

I had to lol at this post ... Cause Cotto is too flat-footed (other than bouncing up&down) so he doesn't have a chance of making Sergio really test the knee. Plus Cotto is a sucker for the uppercut, and once Sergio lands a good uppercut, that high guard is coming down ... Setting up the closer overhand KO for Sergio.

Side note: The Delvin Rodriguez fight didn't prepare Cotto for what he's gonna face with Sergio ... All that fight gave Cotto is a false sense of rejuvenation.

Sergio by stoppage in the ninth!!! :boobies:
