Doesn't sound good for Martinez, but it could all be smoke and mirrors.
You could be right we will find out during the fight and may get to see hints of it during 24/7.

King Cotto has an uphill battle coming up and I know he will be ready. Sergio better have his chit together or Miguel will make him pay!

The King boxing ability, speed, footwork, and ring generalship all all way underated. Cotto's ability to cut the ring is second to none. He will punish Maravilla and stop him under 10 rounds!

his plan will be to sit down and get cotto out of there.
not worth the risk tearing that knee up again.

people forger sergios power when he sits down, his style of late has been fighting going backward.

Its safe to say Cotto will not go the distance with an 80% Martinez.

With all the BS from negotiation, the only knee we talkin about will be King Cotto taking multiple knees before the stoppage. Martinez is gonna **** him up....

Boy can't you guys see a con job by Martinez?

He got the Cotto camp believing he's no longer the nimble mobil fighter that he used to be.
He want's to sit on his punches, and punish Cotto like he should against the smaller, slower man....
fans of MC have to remember, MC has been in alot of wars(Clottey, Margarito,MP, FMJ, & Trout) how much more does he have left.
They(fans, media, & you)keep on saying Sergio is old, but boxing wise he's still fresh. His injuries are the wear in tear from training, but who has really roughed him up? who dragged him the mud??when was the last time he lost a fight where he was truly outclassed, having to go on one knee, or quit??
This is a cake walk for him. A FMJ layup. Cotto is a shopworn, old fighter, that if Sergio plays this right, will exploit all of what I mentioned.
to do this You bully, sucker, & punish a battle scar fighter with a trench war, & give him flashbacks, that Margarito, & PM did to him. Break is spirit, & will!
Those who know boxing, will agree with me on this analysis.

This is exactly why Sergio will lose. Cotto's speed and inside game is going to be a nightmare for a guy used to fighting slow robotic giants. His movement wont be as effective and theres no way he'll even be able to move as well as he did 5 years ago. This will turn into a fire fight like the first williams fight and on the inside with cotto is not a place he wants to be. All his perceived advantages will become disadvantages. Cotto by tko inside 10. Any takers?

Martinez by mid to late KO... end of Cotto's career. Martinez is too big, too fast and has some power that Cotto hasn't faced in a long long time.

Just think about what I typed...
Your boy has been in a ton of wars. He's not the same fighter you think he is.
Ring wise he's older than Martinez. He has more scars, and once he gets hit, he will go into his shell.
You seen what happened to Mosley. His corner kept on telling him to let his hands go, but when you get hit like that, all you do is go to survive mode. Your pride will kick in, you don't want to disappoint your fanbase, & family, so you hangon until either your body tells you u had enough, or your corner will stop that fight.
trust me your guy is a warrior, no one said otherwise, but he picked the wrong dude to prove his point with. It would have been easier to fight Alvarez, someone who is green, & dumb enough to trade punches w/MC...

Your making a fortune tellers prediction that he wont be able to pull the trigger? Sergio is not the most accurate puncher in the game. Numbers wise hes less accurate than Cotto and wastes a lot of punches. The best boxer in the game, who is also the most accurate puncher in the game, who is also faster than Martinez was only able to land 25% of his shots on cotto. Cotto is the best fighter Sergio has ever faced. Sergio is not the best fighter Cotto has ever faced. Cotto will bring hand speed, foot speed, defense, an inside game, an outside game that Martinez has never had to deal with. I realize your banking on Cotto being shop worn, but I dont see it yet. Great fighters throughout history have been able to have many tough fights throughout their careers and maintain a certain level of greatness, like a Duran, like a Gomez. Cotto will win this fight for his legacy which he truly cares about.
