Comments Thread For: Video: Miguel Vazquez Promises To Box Shafikov's Ears Off

IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez of Mexico has no worries, as his upcoming defense approaches with undefeated Russian challenger Denis Shafikov. The two fighters will collide on Saturday night at the Cotai Arena at the Venetia in Macua, China. Vazquez is confident his boxing ability, and experience at the highest level, will be too much for the unbeaten Shafikov to handle.

wonder where all the so called hardcore boxing fans are? Miguel is a great technical boxer but somehow the Rigo crowd who love technical boxers are silent.

maybe it's because HBO hasn't told them Vazquez is actually really good. in fact the same douches like Kellerman call him boring. Roy Jones knows what's up even Teddy Atlas was praising the guy.

funny how actual people involved in boxing see the guy is good but the so called hardcore "purist" don't see it.

i'm calling BS on this one

      vamos titere!

My only concern is that he's been out for over a year. I'm not sure why he was out that long, maybe injury?

If he's 100% I have no doubts he'll beat Shafikov. Vasquz has one of the top 3 jabs in the game, he'll have the reach and height on Shafikov. So I like Vasquez to win big in this one.

Almost had that fight with Burns, then he got the stomach flu.
Don't know why he was out for more than a year though other than that
