Agree with your premise but the 20 is exaggerating.

Haymon is a Don King in drag.

One thing about all of this maneuvering is it shows Kovalev has already won the psy-war. Stevenson does not act, look, or sound confident about this fight!

Green K... I was thinking the same thing, the article stated that "Shockwaves around the industry" because he signed Al Haymon onto his team? Emmmm what's the big deal? Maidana also has Haymon on his team so?

You don't negotiate like that in public, that's career suicide business wise. He has probably taken the short end of the stick over the last 18-24 months to get his chance, now that he has reach the top he would probably maximise his potential earning, hence him bringing Haymon in.

Perhaps Kovalev should learn to carry guys for a few rounds - Golovkin appears to do it on occasion. Problem is I ain't so confident Kovalev could pull it off - non-stop aggression is a key component of his defense.

For comparison: defensive wizard FMJ was (per compubox) hit 230 times last year in two fights. Kovalev was hit 85 times in four.

Do u really comparing Kovalev to Floyd?

Last year Floyd was fighting two guys off top 10 p4p list.

Kovalev himself ain't top 10 p4p fighter... let alone a level of his opposition.
