why don't "superman" just come out and say what he expects to get for this fight

I understand that it's a big fight and a unifier, but if Stevenson thinks he should be getting $2 mil+ or that a BHop fight would be worth more, Haymon may have been selling him rainbows. Furthermore, after a BHop fight. what is there at GBP/SHO for Adonis? And has he really bought into the idea that Haymon is gonna make him a crossover star?
Similar to the Rodriguez signing last year it's hard to see what SHO has to offer for a LHW beyond BHop (which is a big prize, but only one fight), but the signing did serve to drive up the asking price and further empty HBO coffers - it almost seems like a deliberate strategy, but I guess time will tell.
I wonder how many Haymon fighteers have actually bought the line that they're gonna be the 'next' FMJ? So far as I can tell Haymon has only one superstar, and Al can't even really take all the credit for that.Last edited by Citizen Koba; 02-21-2014, 11:58 AM.Comment

"superman" knows retirement will be his only option after kovalev is finished with him thats why he will be looking for unreasonable money something like $20'000'000Comment

Realistically, how many fights does this dude have left. Why not try to get the most money possible as Kovalev will be a really tough fight. He's not ducking Kovalev just yet.Comment

I love it. HBO cuts ties with GB because of Haymon and now Haymon poached one of their biggest stars. I hope he poaches more of their fighters so these idiots have on ther choice than to deal with GB.Comment
