          Thanks for the heads-up on the article. I tracked it down. I didn't know Santana dropped 38 lbs in six weeks, or that he had back and knee injuries. If true, that would explain Angelo's lack of conditioning. Not to take anything away from Mamadjanov; he's not top-class, but he's a tricky fighter with heart and plenty of international amateur experience.

          What concerns me most, perhaps, is that Santana hasn't been allowed to gradually mature and learn to cope with adversity. He had no answers when Baha didn't lay down and die. Angelo followed him around the ring, looking for the big shot that would put Mamadjanov away. It never came. Santana must learn to adapt when his opponent doesn't fold to his power. It might happen again tonight.
