You cannot categorize Froch like that. He started slow against Kessler I, Ward and Groves, but he sprinted out against Abraham, Bute and Kessler II.

In other words, I cannot follow Fitzpatrick here.

More times than not, he does start slow. Look at the Dirrell, Taylor, and Johnson fights too along with the Ward, Groves, and Kessler I fight.

Groves imo is the future. He boxed magnificently against Froch and made him look silly. However, i fear for him in the rematch. Groves threw the kitchen sink at Froch and couldnt get rid of him. Im of the belief that Froch would have finished Groves if the ref had not had intervened. He is a clinical finisher and Groves was feeling them punches. Groves seems to have taken a lot of confidence from his performance and rightly so, but it will be his undoing. Froch now knows Groves is on his level which will make froch enter with a different mentality which isnt good for Groves. Both excellent fighters though.

Froch gets stronger as the fight goes on, I wouldn't say he was only a 6-12 round fighter though.

The KD was what threw Froch off that night combined with underestimating Groves and probably a poor training camp.

The rematch is going to be so much different, Groves is getting put to sleep - the ref won't save him this time.

I disagree that Froch is a "6 round fighter", he just has tremendous stamina, meaning if the other guy can't keep up then it looks like Carl gets better as the fight goes on! Look at Pascal, Taylor and even the Groves fight...

Regardless the outcome of the last fight, I'm willing to bet Carl stops Groves legitimately in the rematch!

Its all about psychological warfare and Fitzpatrick will say anything to undermine Carl right now. TBH although Groves can take a lot of positives from the first fight they would be so ****** to take Froch lightly in the rematch. Do they really expect Carl to come out and be so reckless next time round? He basically gave Groves a gift by disrespecting his power, speed and walking into the right hand and it took Carl a few rounds to get settled again. IMO Froch will be have his defences up and will take no risks until he finds his range and all of this while it sounds like Groves is gonna go right from the get go exerting all his energy to put Froch away. Silly tactics by Groves' camp. How ****** do they think Carl is? Carl will wait in the first 6 rounds, protect his chin then batter George in the latter rounds.
The reason Groves had so much success in the last fight is because Froch's defence was non existent(and he still couldn't put Carl away). Expect a crisper and more focused Froch in the rematch...the one who turned up against Bute and Kessler2.

LMFAO what, Froch proved in multiple world championship bout he has absolutely no problem going the full 12 and going the full 12 hard.

Reason he was a lil slow vs groves was because Froch got floored and floored hard in round one, took a few round to bounce back properly.
