Remember the 88 Seoul Olympics???? Roy Jones Jr. dominates Park Si-Hun, as he did everyone else..... His punch count 86-32, yet he loses the Gold to the Korean on a 3-2 judges decision..... Those 3 judges were later suspended.... A investigation (By the IOC) concluded that S. KOREAN officials whined and dined the 3 judges, buying their decisions to choose Si-Hun..... But they let the S.Korean keep the Gold anyway..... Silver for Jones Jr.....
I remember that Olympics.... It was a huge blow to Olympic credibility..... That was not the only issue.... A S. Korean boxer thought he should have won a fight he lost, he protested..... After that, everything became political..... It was a disgrace!!!!! How can they be awarded another (Winter) Olympics in 4 years????? It should be at least 1 generation before they can host again.... I like Korean people,... Park Si-Hun congratulated Roy, in the ring, after the decision, acknowledging the poor decision.... Props to him for the Man up.... But the officials bribery of Olympic judges should take them out of consideration, Period !!! This is barely boxing related, but I'd be interested in hearing Roy Jones Jr's Opinion on this subject OFF THE RECORD?
