Very true. The guy is as humble as they come. Speaks highly of all his opponents. There really is no reason to dislike the guy. Works hard in and out of the ring. I think some dislike him because of all the media and social media attention. But I think a guy like GGG is good for boxing. He brings a lot of excitement and anticipation. Geale would be a good opponent. It ends in a stoppage against his favor but a good fight none the less. I say after GGG's April 26 appointment, make it happen. Then GGG/Martinez end of 2014.Comment

Wow man, you're even ******er than I thought. I never said Marquez will fight Pac at all. I hope he does, but WTF does that have to do with you being clueless about this topic at hand? I mean, you didn't even know Geale passed 2x this year already, fcuking ******Comment

Here you go you sorry piece of ****, all of this is a month old. Even your sad alt was around then:Geale didn't turn it down.
U should check the shit out correctly before talking crap on him again.
His nickname is a Real Deal. He's not a clown but Golovkin is.
He's ready to smash Triple Duck. Just provide him that opportunity not ultimatum.
Golovkin's team has started to do the same shit that Klichko's team has been yet doing for years.
U're probably too ****** to get it.
According to promoter Gary Shaw, HBO took a pass, for the moment, on a potential fight between Daniel Geale (29-2, 15KOs) and WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin. Geale, who Shaw promotes, is scheduled to face Garth Wood (12-3-1, 8KOs) on February 19th in Syndey Australia, and Golovkin (28-0, 25KOs) defends his title on February 1 against Osumanu Adama (22-3, 16KOs).
Gary Shaw: "I know GGG wants to fight Geale. They offered us a fight for Monte Carlo, but Geale wants to be on HBO."
Daniel Geale has written to a leading television executive to explain why he has knocked back a fight with Gennady Golovkin and to stress that he definitely wants a crack at the hard-hitting boxer. Former WBA and IBF world middleweight champion Geale fights world-ranked fellow Australian Garth Wood in Sydney on February 19 in his first bout since losing the IBF strap to Englishman Darren Barker last August.
"Geale was offered an April 26th HBO televised fight against Kazakhstan's WBA and IBO world champion Golovkin, the man with the best KO percentage of any world champion.
However, he turned it down as the fight would not have been seen in Australia, as the main pay-TV provider is already committed to bringing in a UFC promotion on that date."Comment

Just to clear up something for the non Australians who arent really into the Aussie boxing scene, Geales 2 previous opportunities to fight GGG were never ducks, there was a grudge match against his arch rival Anthony Mundine who had handed him his only defeat up to that point, wanting to avenge that loss in one of the biggest boxing events in Australian boxing history is not a duck of GGG but revenge on Mundine with big bucks to be made, that was a smart decision. Another smart decision is not fighting GGG when it clashes with the UFC PPV event, Geale is someone who despite his success, still isnt a household name in Australia, it would have done him no favors at all. Besides, what difference does it make, then or now, Geale is asking for the fight, there is no reason why it cant be made, i think GGG is the best MW in the world and will beat geale, i think Geale should get some respect for wanting to fight him.Comment

finally. An intelligent observation. Whats with all the keyboard warriors trashing each other out on here for having an opinion? Everyone is different. I love Geale because i am Australian and he is a lovely hard working guy. i think he really tests GGG but loses a decision. A great fight to watch and a legitimate threat though. Both of these guys are humble and nice. Enough with the hate and more with the educated boxing talk.Very true. The guy is as humble as they come. Speaks highly of all his opponents. He had another opportunity to fight him earlier this year in Monaco, passed saying he wants to fight him on HBO, see his promoter quote above. Then threw a hissy fit when they weren't HBO's 1st choice for April, then passed on offer when it came. Hey if he mostly wants more Aussie exposure, maybe HBO is not for him anyway. Rubber match with Mundine is probably it.Just to clear up something for the non Australians who arent really into the Aussie boxing scene, Geales 2 previous opportunities to fight GGG were never ducks, there was a grudge match against his arch rival Anthony Mundine who had handed him his only defeat up to that point, wanting to avenge that loss in one of the biggest boxing events in Australian boxing history is not a duck of GGG but revenge on Mundine with big bucks to be made, that was a smart decision.
