At this point, why wouldn't a fighter want to sign with Haymon?

I hope, since Haymon manages so many Golden Boy fighters, this can be a step towards HBO/Golden Boy cooperation.

The HBO deal? I ain't quite sure what happened with that - I remember there being news from Stevenson that a multi-fight deal including a Kovalev fight was being negotiated, but as to whether it was ever actually inked I don't know.

If Kovalev - Stevenson doesn't get made, I dare anyone to claim that Haymon is good for the sport. He seems to do well enough for his fighters, but that would just suck so bad.

I never know how deep to look into this s#it, but I suggested when GBP got Beibut on board that the plan might be to kinda wrest control of the LHW action from HBO now it started getting exciting. If that is the case, Kovalev can pretty much resign himself to knocking out B listers less he wants to sign with Haymon too.

Eventually he'll be making Showtime undercards even better than they are now. Smart move by Haymon and I wouldn't doubt seeing Stevenson on a Mayweather card soon. Surefire way to sell tickets even if you hate Floyd.
