I think Porter is looking to make some money, Thurman is high high risk and low reward
Porter probably wants Khan or Broner
The Khan fight will not happen because if Khan beats him, then Khan will be forced to fight Brook as a mando or lose the belt,thus missing out on the Floyd fight
It is possible Porter might be pitted against Broner
Whoever has the belt will be forced to fight Brook at the end of the year, Hern has already confirmed this

I didn't refer to him as a champion. Belts don't mean anything, but I assume he would want to defend his belt against a top contender/mandatory, instead of Thurman.
Also, I consider Thurman (outside of Floyd) to be the toughest fight at WW on GBP.
