Top Rank likes to "strategically move their prospects."

It is understandable that they are taking Verdejo along slowly, step by step. I believe it is the smart thing to do with such a promising prospect, it would be a shame to misuse that talent by rushing him. I will be in PR until May so I might also try to attend this card.

10-7 fighters do nothing for Verdejo's career. He needs to fight other prospects on Showbox with 10-0 or 18-2 or 12-0 records to see who the real prospects are, not the crap he is facing.

Verdejo isn't even legal drinking age yet. And he has another fight a month later on April 19th in Orlando.

It would be one thing if he was fighting former unbeaten Olympians who were 28 years old but he has no problem fighting 28 year old fighters as long as they aren't prospects and as long as they have some losses so the age is not the issue.
