Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa (23-0, 16KOs) is planning to have a big run in 2014, starting with a potential fight against two-division champion Mikey Garcia. Gamboa has been inactive since leaving his old promoter, Top Rank, and signing a new deal with rapper 50 Cent, who runs SMS Promotions.

Gamboa partially blames his inactivity on his old promoter, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum. The Cuban fighter claims that Arum roadblocked him attempts to get back on the network.

gamboa is talented and i would be pulling for him, but recently hes looked chinny himself and gassed out a lil. still, i think the power of GAMBOA can definitely shake mikey up, people seem to think hes a bum now due to inactivity

he made a bad business decision, there's no doubt about it. but IMO Gamboa would have sparked the **** outta Rios.

That was the best thing to happen to RIOS because he landed a shot at Pacquiao. NOw rios goes back to being a punching bag HBO can market to it's audience.
