I always thought it was because Arum wanted the fight to marinate a bit more. But after looking at how he treats Rigo he probably just knew Gamboa would have thrown Lopez a beating and didn't want to risk it.

Gamboa did a good job himself closing those doors by his lack of professionalism, too. However, I am sure eventhough Arum was paid over a million dollars by 50 cent, he still tried to sabotage Gamboa, too.

This is why I have Garcia to stop Gamboa, I wouldn't have picked against Yuri if this was 2 years ago but he has done some back sliding over that period of time.
