It all relies on strategy. Maidana can give troubles to Mayweather if he breaks his rythm.

When you're facing a boxer that is by far more skilled than you, the only way to beat him is by breaking his rythme and physically outmatching him ( if possible).

I view Maidana as an underdog. This is a 70-30 fight to me.

      Maidana Strongest P4P Fighter Ever??

Thats what a trainer from Robert Garcia's gym says here but I'm not so sure about that one....thats a pretty bold statement. If anything the main thing I notice about this video is his sparring partner looks better than him

Some are missing out on the experience and what I mean by that is, not enjoying the pre-fight buildup fooling themselves that this is mismatch. When they look back upon this fight, many will regret not enjoying the entire experience like some of us are. I am having a blast looking at footage from both camps.. it is truly exciting because it leads up to what should be quite a show.

It is a very exciting fight mostly due to Maidana and what Mayweather brings to it is his 0. This will be one of the most entertaining fights in the past few years because we have a fighter here who we know is going to jump on Floyd with heavy hands and throw some of the most awkward shots in the game. Just the thought of it is enough to get one excited.
Great post. I agree about tons of people missing out on the hype because they are writing this off.

Im not sure 30 seconds of sparring tells anything, but saying his sparring partner looks better is an overstatement. And its no surprise 16oz gloves and headgear tend to take away Maidanas game.

I just rewatched Mayweather-Canelo and I must say...

Mayweather was getting nailed by right-handed rabbit punches from Alvarez in the clinch. More than once... He keeps his left hand down.

I've seen Marcos Maidana wobble fighters with a single right hand rabbit punch/ear shot. Namely Josesito Lopez.

Go to 8:33 to see what I'm talking about.

If Floyd gets hit with flush shots from Maidana he may be in serious trouble.

Dang chino looking beastly in that video.... he has those gunshot sounds when he hits the mitts and heavybag... even Robert Garcia was looking scared

Chino's been training like Rocky after his wife gave birth
