You are correct, this Is not a competitive fight. This fight will resemble Angulo/Alvarez, maybe even worse for Maidana, although I don't think we will see a lethargic Maidana as was the case with Angulo. Maidana's only chance, which Is slim to none will be to land the ultimate one punch hail mary bomb.

Obviously that's the case, pointing it out means nothing. Floyd is and should be the logical, safe choice, but I believe both Chino will make it a war, and that he will be the biggest challenge for Floyd in years. They are both two of my favorite fighters, like the the Bradley/JMM fight, I have to choose one.

Styles make fights and May is not Khan (doesnt run as much doesnt throw as much combinations) or Devon (doesnt clinch as much or throw as much combinations.) He is a different formula, a slower pace, so the same tired arguments about Amir and Devon are tired.

And time eventually gets to every fighter.Floyd isnt prime and Maidana pretty much is. Its a mystery factor but not to be ignored.
Excellent, excellent, excellent post. I respect you for thinking for yourself (and critically). You don't follow the herd/hive mind around here.

You articulate your opinion very well. You are reasonable, level headed, and educated about boxing. Not an ignorant poster who takes the extreme side of an opinion just to be "edgy" and garner a lot of replies.

Also, you base your opinion on facts. Many posters here are trolls who just like talking **** and getting replies.

Some posters here just say things that they think will be approved by everyone. They put too much importance on internet points. Grab your balls and be your own man.

Mayweather by easy decision. 120-108 or close to that.

Its not a question of who is better. Its a question of how they fight. Both Devon and Khan throw more and have a more frenetic pace than Floyd. And while Floyd does clinch, he doesnt do so defensively as much as Devon.. Similarly, Floyd can move, but he doesnt do so defensively or cover as much real estate while in flight as Khan. Its Floyd's very versatility that may work against him. Maidana needs to catch him as Floyd transitions through his different modes of defense. Which his awkward hard nosed all aggression style may just enable him to do.

            and thats just talking styles..

I am much like Maidana in posting style... I just put my head down and dig in.. But it's nice to get recognition every now and again. Appreciate it.

People are going to eat a lot of crow, and I will rub it in when this fight is far more competitive then they assume.

A lot of this talk is simply trying to discredit Mayweather, which I find disturbing.

Can't disagree at all; but we know Floyd makes the right moves at the right time the question is can Maidana think a couple steps ahead of him. I think it will take Floyd a couple of rounds to figure out his awkward angles. But when he does and commence to start putting hands on him what will Maidana do to change that look.

It's not so much people trying to discredit Mayweather as people getting lazy and comfortable regurgitating the same old Floyd cliches, which hold true less each time, for varying reasons. Those who actually follow the sport can give pronostications with substance, the ones spewing the same nonsense, well, the fool is you if you pay them any mind, lol.
