Those fights you mentioned? He did as well as he did with pure heart and guts and savagery, with not much refinement. Now he is being refined. Against Devon his coach was out with some kind of cancer or something. Now he has a quality coach, and he's pushing inexorably towards his shot at the top of the sport. We will see.

lol you're right. maidana is a big puncher though.... he has been knocking around some lower level comp and people seem to have fell in love with that. canelo looked unstoppable against josesito too. i wouldn't be surprised if maidana gets broken down mentally and gets desperate at some point.
