Floyd is held to lower standards than Pac or Cotto. If Cotto chose Maidana he would be accused of cherry picking, that's why he is fighting Sergio.
They guy Floyd has ducked for years.

I wish I could see amirs reaction to the official announcement.
I've been saying for months that I wouldn't believe Mayweather/Khan until they were announcing it together. I'm glad Mayweather justified the little bit of faith I have in him.

          What a ridiculous fight.

Maidana lost every round to Devon Alexander for Christ sake.

why does the alexander loss carry such stigma for marcos? his name has been brought up many times to discredit maidana's chances in every fight since and he's accomplished the exact opposite.

bradley was battered around the ring and arguably lost by good margin to an ESPN fighter recently but nobody thinks twice about pac-bradley II.

both fighters have won significant fights since their losses but maidana still gets crapped on for some reason.

maidana gonna throw a lot of punches early on but mayweather is just gonna use his movement, counter here and there.

after floyd has done his early assessment, its gonna be a bad beat down for maidana, who ends up getting discouraged. chino's confidence drops right down and he no longer is able to throw caution to the wind because he wont have the confidence that he can try to land without getting hit. floyd cruises to ud or stops chino if he chooses to.

Maidana might have to take full advantage of the no three knockdown rule, lol... He's gonna have to consistently risk getting knocked down/out throughout the entire fight if he's gonna have any hope

Besides-and I'm not typically one of these people to say stuff like this-that was the worst I've ever seen Maidana fight, and he is clearly better than that. I don't know why, but after 3 or 4 rounds he looked drunk. No energy, no balance, no fight in him.

Cause Maidana is fighting Floyd so everything gets amplified.

I predict before this fight happens some poster will claim Maidana get KO'd by body shot
