It's really simple - HBO does not do business with Golden Boy. Thats all there is to it. HBO rejected Hopkins vs Stevenson which would have done massive numbers.

HBO owns the rights to G's next 3 fights. If Lara is serious and wants the fight it will take more than just posting on twitter he and his management needs to get himself approved to fight on HBO.

I'm a GGG fan. I really believe he's the best middleweight and I want him to become the new face of boxing but, I'm pretty sure Ward beats him. Not a good fight for him.

GGG beats the dogshit out of Lara though. Don't think he's afraid. I wish that fight would happen.

Both excuses given about not fighting both guys have merit. I am a Lara fan, but I cannot say honestly that I think GGG is ducking Lara or anyone really. The only thing you really can say is he has thrived on **** opposition and has looked great against C class fighters the hype a he gets is the direct result of that nothing more nothing less. What i really find annoying is when GGG fans claim nobody wants to fight him at least 2 very real great fighters are game... he does have options if he wanted to take the chance right now.
