    No talk of Alvarado-Rios III?

I see people talking all the time about fights they want to see, but nothing about a rubber match between Alvarado and Rios…I wonder why? Their two matches were superb (Number 2 was my FOTY). Any word on any of this?

I know, right? And it seems like the most logical matchup at this point for both.

They might have their own reasons for not pursuing a third fight at the moment though. Rios prefers come forward fighters and Alvarado started running/boxing during their last fight which I don't think is a style he is looking for as his bounce-back fight. And Alvarado might not be too interested to get inside a ring with a strong brawler right away after getting battered by one in last outing.

Rios is looking at a Ruslan fight right now
don't know what Alvarado is doing at the moment
if neither loses again it's the natural fight to make
they might be waiting on what happens with Pac-Bradley 2 though
they'd do better fighting each other than either of those 2

This fight will always be available for both guys. No reason to have it now when they can take on other opponents.

Because Alvarado actually takes a step back, Ruslan and Rios don't.

Because Rios - Provodnikov has the potential to be even better than the Rios - Alvarado fights.

bad timing for that match up, both coming off losses, let them bounce back and the trilogy will be that more appealing...
