Junior middleweight contender Willie Nelson recently told BoxingScene.com that he would love to face James Kirkland this spring. Kirkland has an HBO date scheduled for April 26th and is looking for an opponent now that Damian Jonak has turned the fight down. Nelson isn't the biggest name in the division but has definitely earned the opportunity after taking a series of tough fights.

LOL!!! Floyd shuts out Kirkland 12-0 and both of you know it. Which is why after that fight, ya'll would be saying Floyd cherrypicked a glorified club fighter. STOP!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Nelson isn't very good and has chin issues. He's no defensive genius either. I'd literally pick Kirkland to stop him in the first round. He'd be the perfect opponent to match Kirkland with on a GGG undercard to hype a future GGG-Kirkland showdown.
