great post. look Chavez showed himself to be a real fighter against Thurman. He has real power and would put some of the names at welter to sleep. Anyone that saw that fight saw Chavez would give these guys hell if he gets an opportunity. Thurman is fighting tough fights even if he isn't getting the opportunity to fight the names. He has taken high risk low reward fights and has come out on top every time

I remember watching this fight briefly, now that I'm watching it again I think Chaves could be a really good fighter he just needs more experience and better American training.

No, this has nothing to do with Collazo stopping Ortiz. I was expecting it, I didn't think it would come so early though, and in the manner it did. Thurman makes A LOT of the same mistakes Ortiz made in that moment, perhaps even more often.



Thurman would probably beat those guys, maybe Guerrrero could make it close.

Ortiz could have gotten up from the KO shot but decided to quit. Thurman is much tougher mentally than Ortiz. When Collazo catches Thurman making one of those mistakes Thurman will be able to adjust. He isn't a one dimensional fighter that will make mistakes over and over again. He is a well schooled fighter.
