Comments Thread For: Orlando Salido Finds Added Motivation in Underdog Role

By Jake Donovan - Ask any fighter in the game what’s in store for the future while they are training for a fight, and the answer most likely given is that they’re focused solely on their next opponent and not anything else.

Orlando Salido didn’t have that luxury heading into his vacant featherweight title fight with Orlando Cruz last October. The veteran cult favorite already knew his destiny; worse, it was literally in front of him, dangling like a carrot on a stick. An hour or so before he would step into the ring with Cruz, Salido couldn’t help but look up and observe his future opponent on screen while in the dressing room. [Click Here To Read More]

I just cant see Lomo winning. Roy Jones is the only fighter I've seen that I thought could of won a title in his second or third fight and Lomo doesnt remind me of RJjr in any way.

I'm still shocked his opponent is getting a title shot in his second fight...that takes balls by a promoter and the recipe for disaster written all over it. Considering Salido is the champ and he's facing a guy only on his second fight and is still the underdog..I smell a fix if it goes the distance.

Hope Salido still has enough to provide a good test.

Why is Salido the underdog here; it should be the other way around

Salido being the underdog is a disrespect to a warrior like Salido i hope he proves the experts wrong.

A proven roids cheat deserves no respect, because he himself has no respect for his opponents and the sport.
