Always been one of Groves' vulnerabilities that he gets caught up brawls when he shouldn't, but in the end he was fighting Froch up close cos thats what Carl forced upon him. All the time Groves was throwing upstairs, Froch was bullying away at Groves' body. By about 6 Groves was slowing down and starting to look ragged. After that, despite a spirited throw of dice in 7 the fight had turned away from Groves.

Groves has a problem - he can outspeed Froch but he ain't stronger and doesn't have Frochs stamina over 12 rounds. If he paces himself, he loses his principal advantage...but that kinda jittery, high tension movement burns energy at a massive rate and isn't sustainable into the late rounds of a hard fought championship fight.

I see him adopting a similar strategy this time round. If Groves is gonna win, it's probably gonna be early.

I owe you points my dude!

Glad to lose a bet when it means this fight is on. What a weird set of twists and turns to finally get it nearly signed.

Great to see this finally done.

Reserving final judgement until it gets closer - but would bet on a Froch stoppage if I had to do it now.

Froch had a strange nervous energy in the build-up. He was visibly upset at Groves. You could really see he despises him. Compare that to his build up vs Kessler II where he was cool, calm and collected pretty much all the way through - I think you could see the differences in performances as well.

If he keeps it cool all the way through, then he'll beat Groves I think.

From the very beginning you said they will make this rematch.
