this may not be the case.however, their is a difference between "travellers" (a.k.a tinkers a.k.a irish stinkers a.k.a *****s. a.k.a doasyalikeys. a.k.a diddycoys)and gypsies (here in england anyway) and that is.
first of all, *****s are the scum of the earth, they thieve and rob like theres no tomorrow! for the few that do "work" they dont pay income tax which is why you will always see them running around in veeery expensive brand new cars!
furthermore, we have a tv series here called big fat "gypsy" weddings.....this programme is a show of how much "disposable income" these individuals have and stragely, you nevere see a so called mans face on it...hmmm wanted by the gavvers no doubt.
gypsies however, also known as redskins are easily seperated from these other so called gypsies as more often than not they have very dark hair, they speak within their own language (which is not irish) have a red like skin for some reason and ARE respectful.
they do share common interests in horses, settling disputes over a bare knuckle fight etc and romany gypsies which settled here a long time ago have evolved into either fairground people or mostly scrap dealers. i know of romany gypsies (members of the famous "lee" family) who are disgusted by the fact they are associated with tinkers and alike.
and arson? probably a jealous *****. ya know, the kind your likely to find standing behind you around christmas time when your making a withdrawal from an A.T.M who will then try to sell you some crappy little flower arrangement wrapped in foil with all the "gypsie luck" lol
again, with romany gypsies, it was only when the father of the family died that there was ever a fire and that was, his body,their belongings, all in the cart/trailer/wagon and burnt leaving the poor ole mother with only the clothes on her back.
