Juanma shouldn't be anywhere near a boxing ring. He looked uncoordinated and like he had trouble just with basic balance vs Mikey...

I don't speak spanish, but I wouldn't be surprised if he slurred badly.

      Get a new trainer!!!

His problem is he needs another trainer like maybe garcia because he has too many flaws in his game he leaves himself wide open, no foot movement, no head movement, he'll throw a punch and leave out there to be countered, he doesn't know how to work the body, he was trying to much to be like trinidad when he should have just been himself his own fighter, find out what suits him and then build on it, but his fundamentals are flawed he needs to start from the ground up, forget all that crap he was taught and learn from a real trainer. Get a new trainer!!! take a few relatively easy fights and then see how it goes from there.

I'll go against what people are thinking and say Juanma will TKO Ponce DL.

From fighting Mikey Garcia to DPDL its a considerable jump down in all class, he should be able to take something from this fight.

do you think he has anything left to start all over? He fell in love with his power! Thats pretty much the bottom line. He has gotten very slow and has very little to no reflexes in the ring. No matter what trainer you give him, he will always be open to be countered with that right hand. he will always go back to being Juanma.

JuanMa will never be what he could have with that terrible defense and looping slow punches. Retire already.

I'm taking JuanMa in this fight, neither guy is at the top their game, but PDL with his style susceptible to getting cut easily.

PDL fights extremely dirty and uncoordinated, I think JuanMa can take advantage of that again.

Yes I think he has enough left, bad technique and poor defense can make you look older than you really are, and yes I think he can change, hell mcgirt changed gatti from a brawler to a boxer puncher made him a better fighter and extended his career, he gatti started winning fights easy that he would have struggled to win before using his old style of fighting, bernard hopkins changed his style to a more defensive style after being known for being a mangler type brawler and that change has extended his career as well, so yes changing is most certainly possible but the fighter must want to change and must understand the importance and benefit of changing to prolong their career.
