WHo are the elite fighters of today.

Who comes to mind as elite today and how big is the pool of elite fighters? Some people rate fighters by A, B and C. Are only the A fighters elite? What makes a fighter elite? Anyways who comes to mind and why?

Very very few. The usual suspects.

The cold war, fighter inactivity and other politics make it very hard for fighters to fight the best, thus its tough to have definitive elite fighters. We have a lot of talent, but by and large its not tested.

I think its a combination of resume, skillset, accomplishments and how dominant a fighter is in their division.

As of this post I would go with floyd, ward, manny, wlad as upper echelon elite. Sergio, JMM, Tim, rigo would be elite but I think they are a slightly below those 4.

I think elite is above A class. Elite are Floyd, Ward, Bradley, Manny, Wlad, Rigo, Sergio and maybe JMM and Danny. I think elite fighters are a cut above the A class.

At first glance I thought you were trolling and saying all ROIDS lead to In all seriousness, good list dude, can't really argue with that ATM.

Mayweather, Ward, and Rigondeaux are the only truly elite fighters in the sport right now. If Pac slaughters Bradley, he can earn that designation again. If Bradley dominates Pacquiao, so can he.
