thats every boxers defense when they get trapped into a corner with someone who knows more then them or knows better of the situation. " have you ever had a pro fight? then you know nothing about boxing." thats the weakest attack ever by any fighter.
thats like saying if you're not a musician then you know nothing about music. or if you're not a chef then you know nothing about cooking or how to feed yourself. total bull****.
Floyd got punked on TV and that was his only defense.
i've gotten a chance to talk to Brian Kenny before about boxing when he was out here in vegas and the man knows his stuff. it's his job to know for **** sake.
now his approach was for my taste a little off kilter there.
i think he should've been a little more professional as in the way he was speaking to Floyd. the whole " C'MON Floyd! " all dramatic like was a little too much and would make anyone defensive, but Floyd should have had a better come back instead of " you ever fought in the pro's!? " for the sake of arguement that was a weak retort.
of course the guy has never had a pro fight. that would be overstating the obvious. just like most broadcasters and announcers they have never played the sport they're covering professionally. there are a small percentage of announcers/broadcasters that have played professioanlly what they're covering, and we all know who they are because we've watched them play before they started covering the sport for the media.
i have mad respect for Floyd, but it's ture he's been calling other fighters Bull**** for whothey fought and this and that, when he himself hasn't been fighting the top tier fighters we all want to see him fight.
i wanna see him fight Zab, i just aint going to pay for it, especially after Zabs last fight. but i still wanna see him KO Zab, but I'd rather watch Mayweather fight other guys like Hatton or even Castillo again at 140lb, or Margarito. the list can go on and on. but he elects to fight guys that he knows through and through he can beat. he says the other guys aren't a big draw or they price themselves too high. that all crap too, he aint paying the guy, the people(us!)and the promoters are....
after all that, Brian Kenny still knows his boxing.
also even though i dislike his bias way with HBO Jim Lampley was covering other sports before he did boxing, does he know anything?Comment

No, Brian Kenny did not "tear Floyd up". Brian Kenny is a professional broadcaster, and Floyd is a largely uneducated boxer. You would EXPECT A professional broadcaster to be more media savvy than a boxer.
Floyd is no Ali with the gift of gab.
Now, to Floyd's point: boxing is not baseball. You don't "play" boxing. For Brian Kenny - who has never fought - to belittle PBF's opponents or accomplishments in the ring is ridiculous. To denigrate his choice of opponents is absurd. They should get someone with more ring credibility (Sean O'Grady, Teddy Atlas-tye) to do those "challenge" interviews.
What? Gatti couldn't catch Floyd with a punch and knock him unconscious and kill him? Anything can happen in a boxing ring - and does. PBF is the one taking the risks. Brian Kenny is complaining when the capuccino from the ESPN cafeteria burns his lip.
That being said, Michelle Kwan is a weak-minded ****.Comment
