Comments Thread For: Team Provodnikov To Nacho: We'd Outdo Marquez-Bradley

Last week an article by BoxingScene.com's Miguel Rivera was published that stated that hall of fame trainer Nacho Beristain believes that WBO junior welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov brings nothing to the table financially for Mexican icon Juan Manuel Marquez to consider facing him in the near future. Over the past couple of months, Provodnikov has repeatedly called out the four division champion and Beristain feels that Provodnikov is only calling out Marquez for his own financial gain.

This is refreshing, there's an actual positive response to what someone in boxing said.

This is cringe-worthy. Ruslans promoter begging a hall of famer at the tail-end of his career for a fight. It's like ggg Martinez.

      Throw a dog a bone!

The tactics clubber lang used to get a fight with rocky don't work with Marquez. He's seen everything. He's drank piss. He's taken Power pellets blended with his own urine. He's done it all. And in Spanish he's saying puta hop off my d1k.

Hell I wouldn't mind paying twice for the ppv if it means I get to see Marquez tame another young lion.

This Ain't About The $$$ For Provo; He Wants To Retire Marquez & Would

Ya gotta love his desire to fight everyone. What can't you like about that. Everyone likes to see a guy come to fight. Nobody wants to watch someone run, or hold, or sit outside and pot shot all night. So I understand the weasel in Marquez at 40. He's staying around long enough to find one more belt he can claim, but not willing to go to war with Provo or Pacquiao or Maidana or Porter because they have too much game. Watch Marquez settle for Paulie Mags.

This guy has heart. Now that's a fighter. As for JMM, I think he is a warrior too. Perhaps JMM is only focused on closing out his career. And it's one thing for a fan to say, but I say do it! What a clash it would be! The styles alone would be exciting to watch. Two fearless warriors. I say do it. Besides, JMM has to do something to keep busy in the meantime. Is he really going to wait for the winner of Pac/Bradley? How about an Alvarado for JMM? Neither hold back. Both can box and have some power. Do it do it do it!

A good fight that I hope gets made. It's sad how JMM used to be such a beast warrior and is now this guy only looking for money fights. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him at this stage in his career, but it was his balls to take on anyone that always made him more special than the other guys.
